Artists, writers, and other creative people are some of our most sensitive people. That sensitivity to our world is what helps them do their work. However, being highly sensitive comes with its own strengths and struggles. The belief that artists should suffer for their art is a fallacy. Seeking help is crucial for creatives struggling with mental health.

When your mental health suffers, so can your joy and purpose. You can go from being lost in your craft and feeling energized by it to not being able to focus on it all, distracted by all the pain and suffering currently going on around you. Your brain can become so cluttered by these worries and intrusive thoughts that there’s no longer space for creativity. A battle I have fought myself in these recent times that can not only be frustrating but sad.

The exhaustion from worrying led to slow progress in my creative work – which then led to overthinking and self-criticism. For a month, despite knowing better, I fought this battle alone before seeking help. Help you also can find at Blue Sage Wellness with one of our trained PHMNPs. A diagnosis can go a long way and immediately administer relief. Those symptoms, which you once thought were an overwhelming yet normal part of life, now have a name, and with the help of the right nurse or doctor, you will be able to discover the tools to help you get better and strategies to rebalance your life.

If you are an artist, writer, or other creative person overwhelmed and struggling today, take our quiz to see which PHMNP is right for you at Blue Sage Wellness.
