ADHD Testing for Adults
Get the answers you are looking for, without judgment.
ADHD in Black, Brown, and LGBTQ+ adults is routinely missed, dismissed, or misread as something else: anxiety, "attitude," burnout. Our affirming, culturally-informed ADHD evaluation is built for adults who've felt unseen in traditional testing settings. You'll walk away with a thorough diagnostic assessment, a written summary, and personalized care recommendations. We offer ADHD testing in-person for folks in Nashville, or the surrounding area. ADHD testing is also offered virtually for convenience for folks throughout Tennessee or New York.
Who is This For?
Anyone seeking an evaluator who understands how ADHD actually presents across race, culture, and gender identity, not just the textbook version
What to Expect with Your Care

Step 2: Comprehensive ADHD Testing
Once we move into full testing, the evaluation typically includes a combination of the following components:
Clinical interview — an in-depth conversation exploring developmental history, symptom onset, and functional impact over time.
Computerized testing — objective, standardized measures of attention, processing speed, and executive functioning.
Standardized screeners and rating scales — validated tools that measure ADHD symptom severity and rule in/out overlapping conditions.
Semi-structured interview conducted by the clinician — a structured clinical conversation that adds diagnostic precision beyond self-report alone.
Collateral information (optional) — with your consent, we can incorporate input from a family member, current therapist, or a previous provider to add context and strengthen the accuracy of the evaluation.
This multi-method approach is what makes the evaluation thorough because no single tool or checklist can capture the full picture of adult ADHD on its own.
Step 1: Initial Evaluation
Every ADHD testing journey starts with an initial clinical evaluation. This session is where we get a lot of the picture: your history, current symptoms, how ADHD-related struggles show up across different areas of your life (work, relationships, home), and any co-occurring concerns like anxiety or depression that often travel alongside ADHD. This step also confirms that comprehensive testing is the right next move for you.

Step 3: Feedback & Diagnostic Clarity
After testing is complete, you'll receive a feedback session walking through the results, a clear diagnostic impression, and a written report you can use for accommodations, personal understanding, or coordination with other providers.
